Happy Love Thursday!
Happy Love Thursday!
Well, John and I just got back from yet another road trip. This time we headed east to Illinois and visited with many friends and many family members. We had a great time and I'm so glad we got to go. I am, however, glad to be back home. We don't have anymore travel plans for a while and plan to enjoy the rest of the summer in Omaha. We didn't move here until August last year, so we have yet to experience a July in the big O. It looks like there is a lot going on (music, festivals, etc.).
As you can imagine, I took tons of photos on our trip and I have hardly even looked at them yet. So I will leave you with this one from a hike with my dad in Peoria. And I promise to be back with more soon.
Last week John and I drove to Boulder, CO to visit our friends Brad and Teresa and their two year old son, Kai. John and Brad were college roommates and we haven't seen them since their son was born. We stayed with them for 3 nights and had an awesome time. And while we were there John called a friend of his from high school who I've never met. He and his wife and 4 kids live in Littleton (just outside of Denver) and they invited us stay an extra day, meet them in Denver for dinner and then come back to their house to stay the night. So we did. We extended our vacation for a day and bummed around downtown Denver before meeting them for dinner. It was so great to be able to be flexible about it. With John off for the summer and my flexible schedule we were totally relaxed and able to take our time getting back.
Here are some of my favorites from Boulder and Denver

There you have it! Those are 17 of the 103 prints I just ordered. We had a great time and I can't wait to go back.
I'm back. I had a couple of busy weeks and then John and I went to Colorado! I am in the process of going through all the photos I took and will definitely be back later with a post about it. But for now here is one of the flat irons in Boulder. We went on a long hike up to that spot. It was beautiful and difficult and my legs were shaking and noodley. But so worth it.
My dad is an artist who recently re-discovered his talents. He just started up an etsy shop where he'll be selling his work. I have a couple of his paintings hanging in my house and I love them (he needs to stop giving me every painting I want or he'll go out of business!).
